Elaia ~ the ancient origin name for olive tree- has extended like an olive branch in the heart of Bridgehampton, offering connection and community, health and abundance, and an authentic expression of love through Greek food, music, atmosphere, captivating your senses and inviting you to return again and again.  For us Greeks, the love of food is written in our DNA and essence of Elaia connects our family with yours.

Chris Boudouris and Sofia Crokos, the husband and wife dynamic duo, brought their expertise in hospitality, events, wine & spirits together to create a one-of-a-kind Greek restaurant in Bridgehampton.  Both growing up and eventually meeting in Brooklyn, their paths crossed again years later, marrying and blending their traditional Greek roots and love of food to create Elaia Estiatorio.

SOFIA CROKOS

Sofia has always followed her creative intuition. Born and raised in Brooklyn, her career in event planning, fashion and design took her around the world, and she imagined one day combining her love of food and flowers to open her own Greek restaurant. Her focus on vision and design has made Sofia the creative force behind Elaia. From tabletop and decor selection to the design and detailed aesthetics, she makes sure every night is a special event embodying the festive Greek spirit. Sofia spreads joy and builds relationships that bring diners back time and time again. With her love of travel, being outdoors, and cooking for friends & family, Sofia plans to explore Greece to take cooking lessons and reconnect with her family’s roots.  As a member of the Global Lyme Alliance, Sofia gives back to make an impact with an organization close to her heart.

CHRIS BOUDOURIS

FOUNDER

Chris, born in Serres, Greece, is a self taught expert wine & spirits purveyor, hand selecting each bottle that is brought into Elaia.  Pivoting from his career in IT to purchasing his first wine store, Chris cultivated his passion in the spirits industry. His store, Bridgehampton Wine Cellar (formerly known as McNamara Wines & Liquors), was one of ZAGATs top rated wine stores and was named one of the best liquor & wine retailers in the country by Market Watch. After moving out to the Hamptons, he quickly realized there was a lack of authentic restaurant options and how much he missed traditional Greek cooking that reminded him of home. Partnering with Sofia, they created Elaia, bringing a taste of Greece to the Hamptons. Chris loves the outdoors, motorcycles, and is passionate about vintage cars.
